Acceptable Use Policy
Version: Draft 0.1 · 30 September 2026
This text is a draft and will go through legal review before it is published. Details that are not decided yet will be added once they are.
This Policy forms an integral part of the santral.la Terms of Service and binds the Customer and all Users. The Customer is responsible for its Users’ compliance with this Policy.
1. Prohibited uses
The Service may not be used for:
- Unsolicited calls: bulk promotional calls without the recipient’s prior consent (spam), calling for commercial purposes persons who have opted out in İYS or an equivalent register, failing to state the business name at the start of the call.
- Automated calls (robocalls): bulk calls with pre-recorded messages or auto-diallers, sequential or random number scanning (war dialling), campaigns producing silent or abandoned calls.
- Caller-ID spoofing: presenting a number not assigned to the Customer or that it has no right to use, or a misleading caller name.
- Fraud: phishing by voice (vishing), impersonating companies, banks or public officials, traffic pumping (artificial traffic to premium-rate numbers), billing fraud, call-forwarding scams.
- Line sharing and resale: selling, renting or providing Trunks, Numbers or the Service to third parties as lines, minutes or a PBX; relaying traffic through SIM boxes.
- Unlawful recording and interception: recording calls without informing the other party; listening to others’ calls without authorisation (e.g. Turkish Criminal Code arts. 132-134).
- Unlawful content: announcements, hold music or messages containing threats, insults, harassment, hate speech, obscenity, child abuse or infringement of intellectual property.
- Misuse of emergency numbers: false or automated calls to 112 or other emergency numbers.
- Harming security: attempts at unauthorised access to the Service, other customers or third parties, vulnerability scanning (without permission), denial-of-service attacks, distributing malware, sharing or selling credentials, attempts to circumvent Plan limits or technical restrictions.
- Sanctions: providing the Service to, or using it on behalf of, persons, entities or countries subject to international sanctions.
2. Commercial calls and İYS
A Customer making commercial calls must comply with Turkish Law No. 6563, the Regulation on Commercial Communications and Commercial Electronic Messages and the rules of the Message Management System (İYS): prior consent and an İYS check for promotional calls to consumers, no calls to persons who opted out, İYS checks for business recipients’ numbers, and stating the business name at the start of the call. For recipients outside Türkiye the rules of the recipient’s country apply.
3. Call recording
A Customer that records calls informs the other party before recording starts (recording announcement), provides the privacy information required by KVKK and (in the EU) the GDPR, and relies on a legal basis. Employees are informed in advance where internal calls are recorded. Calls in which payment card data is taken must not be recorded.
4. Fair use
Plan limits (extensions, concurrent calls, storage) are enforced technically. If a customer’s use materially affects the service quality of other customers, santral.la may limit the use after informing the Customer and propose a suitable Plan.
5. Reporting and cooperation
Abuse and security reports: info@santral.la. A Customer that detects unauthorised use of its account notifies santral.la and its Operator immediately. santral.la cooperates reasonably with requests from competent authorities and abuse reports from Operators.
6. Enforcement
Depending on the severity of a breach, santral.la may: issue a warning; restrict the relevant feature (e.g. outgoing or international calls); temporarily suspend the account; terminate the Agreement immediately for serious or repeated breaches; and inform competent authorities and the Operator concerned. In case of fraud or security threats these measures may be taken without prior notice. The Customer’s liability for breaches is subject to the indemnity clause of the Terms of Service.
